Freelance writing of all types, including essays, reports and articles, can be sold through Constant Content.

Constant Content is a third-party site that brings Web content writers and sellers together. The site has thousands of writers who belong to the site and can contribute as much or as little written material as they choose.

Many freelance writers use the site as a way to advertise their Web content services or as a portfolio to show prospective clients. Other writers use it as a place to sell writing that hasn't found a customer elsewhere.

Accepted Materials

Everything that is submitted to Constant Content is reviewed by the site to ensure that it meets the minimum standards of the site. Writers have to submit their work through the site and wait for approval before the item is posted for sale on the site. Writers can submit work at any time and on any subject. There is no limit to the number of works that can be submitted. Many freelance writers submit hundreds, or even thousands, of works to the site.

Requested Content

Customers can request articles or other content through Constant Content. By signing up for email notifications of requests, writers can be notified of every new request. Writers can choose whether to write a requested item. To do so, the item is written and submitted to the site for approval. Once approval is granted, the writer sends the work to the requester for consideration.

If the customer chooses the work, he will buy it through the site. If the customer accepts another freelance writer's work, that work can be sold through the site to another buyer.

Private Requests

Customers can choose a specific writer from the list to write for them. They can choose from among the more than 10,000 writer profiles and send a private request to the writer they choose. Many Constant Content customers establish a writing relationship with one writer and work exclusively with that writer.

Selling Rights

Each writer can choose the rights that they sell for each work. The writer can sell the full rights to the work, unique rights that give limited publishing rights to the buyer or usage rights. Writers who sell usage rights can sell them an unlimited number of times. Writers can sell usage rights of works that have been published elsewhere as long as the writer has retained the rights to those works.

Getting Paid

Constant Content writers set their own prices and get paid through the site itself instead of being paid directly by the customers. The site takes a flat 35 percent commission from all sales and the remaining 65 percent is put into the writer's account. The writers are paid once a month with a payout minimum of $5. If the payout is not reached, the money stays in the writer's account until it does.
