The Amazon Kindle was introduced as an incredible invention in the publishing world. It allows both online content and print content to be available on the same reader.
The Amazon Kindle is the handheld electronic reader that was designed to revolutionize the way people got their information. The device makes it easy to download the newest books and ebooks directly onto the reader which can then be taken anywhere. A number of newspapers and blogs are also accessible by the Kindle. Kindle Blog SubscriptionsThere are a number of blogs that are downloaded into the Kindle much like a feed reader is used on a computer. The Kindle owner chooses which blogs from the Kindle blog catalog they would like to subscribe to and must pay to subscribe to them over the device. The blogs are updated on the Kindle with a wireless update each time there is a new post. Though the same blogs are offered online for free, there are those who are paying to subscribe to blogs simply for the convenience of reading them on a Kindle. The blogs that are available are advertised as the top blogs and are generally ones that are well-known and popular already. There is a two-week free trial of each blog subscription. Any blog can be cancelled before that time without a charge. Any blog kept, however, will be subject to a monthly fee for the subscription. Get a Blog Added to the CatalogThe part that may interest many blog owners is the pay. The blogger gets 30 percent of the subscription fee paid by its Kindle subscribers. To apply to be one of more then 350 blogs that are available through the Amazon Kindle, apply directly through Amazon’s application form. Amazon requires that the pages made available to the Kindle subscribers have no ads on them. There is generally a waiting list to have a blog reviewed for possible inclusion in the Kindle blog catalog because of high demand. Other sites are now jumping on the Kindle bandwagon and offering books and ebooks that can be read with the Kindle. There are even free Kindle book sites. Some authors and publishers, such as Samhain Publishing, are now offering ebooks that are only available through the Kindle. The product began at a pricey $400 but has been lowered slightly since it was introduced. If it follows the lead of most personal electronics, the price will continue to go down as demand increases and more of the devices are manufactured. Readers may also be treated to new versions of the Kindle as the technology advances.
