A website owner or affiliate marketer needs effective Web content to stay in business. To get that content, hire a Web content writer.

Every website needs content for monetization. Google AdSense rules require that a page have at least 250 words of content to carry AdSense ads. To draw in readers who will see the ads or buy the products, the Web content on a site has to be the best quality possible.

If a website owner is not an experienced writer, there are many places to go to find a ghost writer to write the content. An experienced ghost writer can be the difference between stilted Web content that fails to draw in readers and content that attracts traffic and backlinks from interested readers.

Post Freelance Writing Jobs

There are several places to post jobs for a suitable freelance writer. The easiest may be Craigslist. The site is free and allows anyone to post a job opening or available project. These freelance writing jobs are not only available on Craigslist, they are also compiled by people who run sites for freelance writers. They are then available to a wider audience than through Craigslist alone.

When using Craigslist, the poster must choose an area to post the ad in. The area may have little to do with the project, however, because most freelance writing jobs are done via telecommuting. For this reason, many job posters choose to post in a large city's Craigslist to attract the most attention for their ad. The more responses an ad gets, the more candidates there are for the ghost writer position.

Use Freelance Bidding Sites

Freelance bidding sites are used less often than Craigslist, but they are a concentrated source of experienced freelance writers. Most writers using a writing bidding site have experience writing many types of Web content. It's possible to find writers with years of experience with content development. The project poster chooses the ghost writer from among the writers who submit a proposal and a specific bid amount.

Search for a Freelance Writer

Many Web writers have websites devoted to their writing samples and their particular type of expertise. Search for a Web writer by looking for these sample sites. Most of them will be keyworded toward the specific types of writing they are most familiar with, including ghost writing, content development, ebook writing, editing, SEO writing, etc.

Job Sites

There are a number of job sites that don't cater to telecommuting or freelance jobs, but that can nevertheless be used for that purpose. Job sites like Monster.com, CareerBuilder.com and JobCentral.com will post freelance writing jobs to a broad audience. Most of these sites have a fee for posting projects, but the audience these sites have may make the fee worth it for some website owners.
